Your Team. Our Purpose.
Working in schools and social service institutions will take a toll on us as people and not just as professionals. RelateAbility helps your team better understand how you all are doing as a team and how you can grow to encourage and support one another. To help your team, we'll engage in activities and conversations that honor these themes: safety, trust, effective communication, connection, challenge, empowerment, and enjoyment.
Depending on your team's needs and comfort levels, we can connect on an archery range, on a ropes challenge course, on kayaks, or on your campus. No matter the setting, your team will be invited to slow down together and make plans for staying connected well after your day with RelateAbility.
For therapists, educators, and facilitators, working with groups of clients and students often brings us joy. Whether the focus is on topics like social-emotional learning, self-confidence, conflict resolution, or community building, we know keeping the material fresh and lively makes groups more fun for us and for our participants. Let's meet for an Individual consultation session or set up a group training workshop for your team.
RelateAbility can help you keep your passion for groupwork healthy. A Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist will lead you through theories of group facilitation and consult with you about how to bring adventure and experiential learning activities to your groups, whether you have access to a classroom, conference room, counseling office, ropes challenge course, and/or playing fields.
Student wellness promotes educator wellness. And for students to be well, it's important they know how to relate to and respect another. Your campus' student leaders, and students participating in special interest groups, can connect with one another through adventure activities to strengthen interpersonal skills and develop a growth mindset. RelateAbility facilitates on campus and off campus experiences to help your students find their voices and communicate with peers and adults effectively.
Also, when students and teachers are united by more than a schedule, and engage alongside one another in problem-solving games, archery, and ropes course activities, school communities can transform. With appreciation for this, RelateAbility offers community building activities for students and educators to connect as people. Something special happens when staff and students celebrate trusting relationships and support one another though adventure.
"RelateAbility provides wonderful team building activities for our group of 16-24 year old students. They prompt problem solving, rapport building, and healthy lifestyle to help keep our students engaged. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to improve relationships amongst their students and/or staff."
Working in schools and social service agencies will take a toll on us as people and not just as professionals. Being honest about that reality is important. When we recognize the ways stressors are affecting us as individuals and as a team, we can work to support one another's resilience.
RelateAbility helps your team better understand how you all are doing as a team and how you can grow to encourage each other, especially during stressful times. And with a genuine appreciation for the educators, social workers, therapists, and other staff members serving in schools and social service agencies, RelateAbility makes time to celebrate and honor your teammates and you because not everyone can do the work you all do.
With RelateAbility, your team will engage in activities, conversations, and reflection exercises designed to strengthen relationships while strengthening focus around a common mission. These offerings all seek to rejuvenate your team's capacity to care for one another and, in turn, to better serve your students, clients, and families.
As helping professionals, we know the environments in which we learn and connect with others can be just as important as our purpose for being together. With this in mind, RelateAbility collaborates with you to select locations appropriate for your team's needs.
To the safest extent possible, and as settings allow, RelateAbility conducts workshops in the outdoors as an invitation for your team to experience the healing power of nature. This includes gathering in parks, on an archery range, on a ropes challenge course, or on rivers while paddling in kayaks. Of course, more traditional office settings and classrooms work well too. No matter the setting, your team will be invited to slow down together and make plans for remaining connected to healthy environments and to each other.
Whether it's a one hour "tone setting" workshop, or a multi-day retreat to strengthen organizational wellness, RelateAbility will collaborate with you to develop an empowering experience for your team. What remains consistent is the dedication to honor your team's unique perspectives, ideas, and needs.
