I wanted to say thank you so much for working with our team. I feel that it significantly benefited our team. People have seemed much more trusting and confident in the work of their teammates which has facilitated improvement in performances!!
Personally, I loved the team building and LOVE what you do!! Thanks again, Fred.

The activities we participated in got us thinking outside of the box and really concentrating on our mental health. In the type of work we do, it can be easy to take care of everyone else and forget about ourselves and our own needs. [RelateAbility]...had a way to bring this all back around so that we...could be grounded in our own goals [and]...support each other and do our jobs better. We definitely conquered some fears and had some breakthroughs where we had to depend on our peers and ask for help when needed. All around a great learning experience and great day!"

Fred is an amazing clinician, trainer and supervisor. He is grounded in trauma-informed care and takes a highly relational approach when working with individuals, families, groups and organizations. Fred brings new insights and perspectives to clinical practice, and also brings a high level of cultural competence, diversity and inclusion to his work.
I have traveled and co-facilitated with Fred in many international, national, and local venues spanning from Australia to Canada. His presentation topics include trauma informed care, help for the helping care profession, and relationship building. His presentations gave invaluable and resourceful information in the field of mental health. He is conscientious, ethical, and trustworthy. I highly recommend him with complete confidence.
Thank you so much for this team building experience. I have had great feedback about this team building experience and would love to partner with you in the future.
Thank you again.

Learning from Fred has been an invaluable experience. Under his supervision I have grown both personally and professionally in ways that have exceeded my expectations. I have had the freedom to grow in my own path as a counselor and also been able to benefit from his unique skills as an Adventure Therapist.
Thank you, Fred, for providing our families with such great wealth of information these past three months! I truly feel our families have grown from these wellness meetings. One parent in my group today even said she has been more confident in communicating with those around her and has felt less stressed. It brought the biggest smile to my heart and face when she said that. Another parent stated, being in the groups made her feel in a safe place and that she looked forward to our discussions. In the time you have spent with us you have provided our families with techniques and skills that they feel comfortable utilizing, as you have shared the information in a way they can comprehend. I too have learned so much and feel I have a better understanding of the importance of my own wellness, and how to better support my families. I look forward to having you next program year with a fresh bunch of awesome families!

Fred is one of the most inspirational mentors and friends I have had to this day. I have learned a great deal from Fred over the years, to include using Adventure-based therapies in a multi-family therapy setting, group therapy setting, family therapy setting, and individual therapy setting. He encouraged me to take risks in my career and taught me what it meant to trust myself and lean into discomfort as a means to help me grow professionally. I have co-presented with Fred at professional conferences on topics such as the use of trauma-informed adventure therapy. Fred is a highly skilled professional who first focuses on developing relationships with people. I can confidently say that Fred will not disappoint in whatever area of service he is providing.
Fred at RelateAbility is the best! Fred helped my softball team become more connected and in tune with each other. His well thought out and planned activities were not only fun, but gave Pearsall Softball the ability to see our team's strengths. We also were made privy to our weaknesses, and we were guided by Fred to turn those weakness into learning experiences. While Fred had a plan, he also had the ability to create activities on the spot according to team needs. Fred was able to hold the attention of the entire team, and create a comfortable atmosphere in which team bonding and growth occurred. That year we were undefeated district champs and went two rounds into the playoffs! Thank you Fred!
Fred, my immediate supervisor for several years, was typically available to me when I needed to bounce an idea off of him, receive guidance and encouragement, and a fresh perspective that I may not have gathered apart from his involvement. He was consistently pragmatic, straightforward, and informative in providing me (and several other interns working with his Adventure Therapy program) exactly what was needed to effectively serve our clients. At no time have I seen Fred lose his “cool”, give up, or fail to use a respectful tone or stance with the hurting families with whom we worked—all of whom had been impacted by trauma of some kind. His heart overflows with creative possibilities when he immerses himself in the textures of Nature. Fred’s quiet, yet enthusiastic approach to family adventure work is a joy to observe.
Thank you, Fred. What a gift it was for our team to process and connect in such a supportive context. You do very important work and foster a culture of kindness, compassion, and healing. I am so glad that you found it to be inspiring for yourself as well, which can be one of the greatest perks about the kind of work we do, frequent glimpses of the path towards wellness.

Observing Fred's mentorship of our high school students in the Adventure Facilitator program was a highlight of the school year. In the end, students could confidently articulate the importance of trust in building a safe community; and they could lead others in community-building activities in order to reach the same essential understanding. A transformative experience!
