Supervision of LPC-Associates

Congratulations to those of you graduating with a Master's Degree in counseling! If you're looking for a supervisor to help you with your Texas LPC licensure, give me a call so we can evaluate whether we'd fit well together. There's no obligation for an initial meeting since this working relationship will be a long-term investment for both of us. 

We'll work on strengthening your skills as a clinician by discussing theories of change, staffing cases, reviewing our code of ethics and board rules, and learning new counseling techniques. I've supervised therapists who have built their own private practices, assumed clinical leadership roles in leading trauma-serving organizations, created their own clinical programs, and moved on to receive their doctoral degrees.  

I'm especially eager to supervise counselors interested in learning more about using experiential and adventure-based interventions with clients to promote change. I've presented at regional, national, and international conferences on this subject and have come to specialize in providing, and supervising how to provide, family-based adventure therapy services. When possible, I invite my supervisees to co-facilitate groups with me on a ropes course, when paddling in a kayak on the rivers of South Texas, or when hiking in local parks. Oftentimes, I'll invite my supervisees to do their supervision with me in these locations as well.
